how_it_works_1244042190This is a guest post by my good friend and business partner in Pab67Media.com – Chris Kautz. He is a true PAB in every sense of the word (for those of you who do not know what a PAB is, you can either look at www.pab67media.com OR you can ask any of us and we will enlighten you). At any rate, he is now heading the Pay Per Call division at Rex Direct Net, a class organization founded by Jennine Rexon. If any of you have a question on this product, feel free to reach out to me and I will direct you in his direction.

How is 2010 going to end up?

Besides being a movie from the 80’s, 2010 seems like it should be a notable year for the history and future of online marketing. From my perspective of being an affiliate manager, a pay per call manager, and an affiliate, I think advertisers will always be searching for new ways to optimize their leads and sales generation. Optimizing marketing campaigns has become that much more important with the current economy and the weakening US Dollar. Let’s face it there will always be some really good quality traffic from Boca and from the far east that marketing professionals will constantly be cleaning up and trying to prevent. One way that marketers are exploring to increase quality is combining old fashioned marketing initiatives (off-line) with current online marketing methods. Don’t get me wrong, I am not switching over to the dark side of direct mail and signs on the side of a highway, and if I didn’t believe in online marketing, than I wouldn’t be in this castle I am currently in nor would I be writing this thread. Online marketing and lead generation is but a small part of the overall sales process. Too often affiliates look at their metrics strictly vs. the actual benefit their traffic sources are providing or not providing for their advertisers. It’s a me first mentality that allows for short term gains, but not too much in the way of long term gains. Compare it to digging for oil, as crude oil needs still needs to be refined for the most part. One can’t just find black gold and then expect to have suitcases of cash without some way of pumping the crude, delivering the crude and refining it. It is a complex process just like the lead and sales generation. I think those marketers who concentrate on the full process of lead and sales generation and aren’t in it strictly for the quick cash, will have success in 2010 and years to come.

This is philosophy I am focusing on with pay per call as it combines online and offline methods. Pay per call provides a benefit to consumers by connecting them to a human to answer their questions and concerns, as well as closing them on a product/service. It provides an extra benefit rather than just anonymous data about an individual that might be true or not true. I am not stating that Pay per Call is full proof, but it does have more validation by including the human voice. There are many different ways to run Pay per Call campaigns and many different marketing channels that can be used for them. Most pay per call campaigns are measured by call duration, 30 sec to a few mins, and some qualification questions. This year will be a time in which advertisers will be looking to better enhance and improve upon their lead/sales generation and remove the

Tragedy in Haiti

haitiOn January 12, 2010 at 4:53 p.m. EST, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake occurred in Haiti, 10 miles southwest of Port-au-Prince. As the full effects of this tragedy have unfolded over the past few days, agencies and organizations around the world are rallying to aid the people of Haiti. In the United States, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) bears the responsibility of providing humanitarian assistance when and international emergency or disaster strikes. While the world watches and waits, help is on the way.

So, what can you do to help? Let

Trends in Affiliate Marketing

trends
With the advancement of technology, people are getting closely connected and the globe is shrinking. From last year, social media commerce and other connectivity formation methods have been enhanced to improve communications on a more open environment, building trust, confidence and consequently boosting sales.

In 2010, new scientific know-hows like the pay-per-call and similar off-line monitoring activities are becoming the norm and practice, and because of this, bigger transactional opportunities will come into fore. With smart phones booming and taking center stage, together with swifter downloading, this year may be the year of remote selling and affiliate marketing specialists will be able to maximize this enormous and waiting market.

The year 2010 will also be witness to smart marketers over the Internet, regardless of size and magnitude, who have consolidated last year to be able to focus in establishing closer ties with their associate organizations and entities. Basically, in my mind 2010 will be an year of consolidation and strengthening of positions in the affiliate marketing arena.
